Change Management Essentials

Identify key change management steps and approaches for facilitating change across different stages and stakeholder groups. (HRCI Body of Knowledge 06:90, 04:02, 04:65; and SHRM Behavioral Competency Relationship Management, Consultation, Communication)



  • Introduce the four common, integrated change management steps
  • Discuss facilitation tools for each of the four steps: assessing, planning, implementing, anchoring
  • Describe the role of a facilitator in managing change
  • Prepare a facilitation plan as a guide for practice that incorporates rational and experiential objectives, meeting agenda, process agenda, materials, time allotment
