Session Overview

Workplaces across the U.S. are reeling from unprecedented stressors and demands over the past six months. While many workplaces have pivoted toward a focus on mental health, the need for clear understanding and effective strategies around mental health are more critical than ever before. This session will identify specific challenges, needs, and tools for HR professionals and managers to step up to the moment.

What you will learn

  • Identify ways that COVID and racial trauma impact workplace wellbeing
  • Understand how workplace policies and benefits impact and address employee well-being
  • Assess cultural competency of benefits and wellness providers

About the Speaker


 

Dave Christy is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has worked in the mental health counseling field for over 15 years, and has provided direct services to thousands of clients during this time. Dave currently works with Cascade Centers Employee Assistance Program, where he serves as Associate Director for Clinical Services. In this capacity, Dave oversees clinical programs including performance-based employer referrals and Drug-Free Workplace programs; consults with HR and leadership teams on incorporating best practices for mental health; and provides training to employer groups on employee wellness, engagement, and mental health concerns.
