Not only do internships offer a way to bring in new ideas and perspectives, generate a pipeline of engaged new hires, create leader/mentorship opportunities for existing employee often reengaging those employees, studies also show that there is a link to the employee engagement and tenure of interns who are hired on.  COVID has shown us that engagement and enrichment during times of increased distance and remote work must be a constant focus of HR and Leadership.

 

During this session, Cristin will cover gaining internal buy-in, managing remote communication, and programming elements to help guide you in putting together a successful internship program for your organization.

Cristin has over twelve years of experience working in the field of human resources and recruiting. Recruiting and program development are where her heart is. Cristin’s expertise includes human resource project management, federal compliance, organizational development, program development, development of standardized reporting methods achievement of departmental KPI used in the Quarterly Business Reviews. She has also built out full-cycle recruiting initiatives, including the management of relationships and brand building on university campuses across the U.S., Canada, and the UK.

 

As a lifelong Portlander, passionate about traveling, her two dogs and attending Timbers soccer games (PTFC) and Washington State University football games (GO COUGS).
