There are many facets to the HR profession and we want to give you a glimpse of what some of them are.


During this virtual event you will meet Sara Baier from Dr. Martens, Patrick Staton from First Tech and Natalie Miller from Lee Hecht Harrison to get a better insight into their HR roles. This a great opportunity to network and build connections with some talented HR experts.


About the Speakers

Sara Baier, SHRM-CP

HR Business Partner - Dr. Martens

Sara is currently an HR Business Partner with Dr. Martens Airwair, a global footwear brand. 

In her decade-long HR career, she has worked in several industries, including production baking, manufacturing, and retail. Sara is also the Vice President of the PHRMA board and has been an active board member since 2014. Sara's HR focus includes strategic planning, people-leader training & development, program development, employee relations and compliance. 


Patrick Staton

HR Systems Program Manager - First Tech Federal Credit Union

Patrick is an HR Systems Program Manager. His focus is on people systems strategy for First Tech Federal Credit Union. This ranges from; Informing and implementing the strategy of the executive leaders in how our People Systems and Data flow throughout our organization, Focus on HR’s involvement in the next iteration of our organization’s Enterprise Data Warehouse, Serving as the business unit’s conduit to our greater Information Security and Digital Technology partners, Day-to-day vendor relationship management for People Systems.


Natalie Miller, SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Vice President, Business Development - Lee Hecht Harrison

Natalie partners with organizations leaders and HR executives to learn about business strategies, then develop talent solutions help exit employees with respect and support to find a new career/job; development of leaders & teams; coaching to accelerate growth, elevate new leaders; reskill & renew their workforce in this unprecedented time. Natalie serves on the PHRMA Board as Co-Director of Workforce Readiness & Portland Workforce Alliance Board as Co-Director of Development.

In her free time she loves hiking, camping, backpacking & gardening.
