Things are better at work now and you’re considering bringing employees back. Just like the questions and decision-making that took place to reduce your workforce you must think about when, who and how you bring people back (and to be honest this should have been part of your thought process and discussions when reducing staff – so you knew if it was a separation, layoff, a furlough, etc.). Join us for a discussion about what systems you may use to determine the recall order and timing.

In addition, depending on how long a staff member was gone it is important that you do a “special” on-boarding process. Yes, you read that correctly, onboarding. While they were away the business carried on and probably made modifications and changes – some out of bare necessity. Staff may have responsibilities and the organization may have new policies or different business approaches. You will need to bring your returning employees back into the fold and get them up to date.
