Without Saying a Word: Making change inevitable begins with non-verbal rapport building

Presented by: James Marcus Ross

Everyone thinks they are good at rapport building until they take a good look in the mirror. Join us  ---- to take a good look in the mirror, build on what you already do well, and adjust those blind spots we all have. It takes practice and intentionality but we can all get better at rapport building.

Participants will be introduced to the core rapport building concepts, understand the role they play personally and in others, develop introductory proficiency at matching and mirroring through participatory exercises. They will demonstrate self awareness at their own non-verbal signals that may be impacting their ability to build meaningful rapport and techniques to adjust so their non-verbal signals are more positive and can aid in building stronger partnerships.

This is designed so that participants can begin practicing in real life, day one and can continue to grow their skills.

Rapport Building is a cornerstone competency in relationship building and part of the cohort of competencies relating to Negotiation, Tact and Diplomacy, Active Listening, Conflict Resolution, Mediation, and Developing Trust. These make up the backbone of interpersonal competencies that aid in developing Influence, Leadership and Coaching skills.
