SIG: Recruitment & Selection

Are you a recruiter or strategic sourcer?

Before you answer this question. You need to attend the next SIG meeting October 17.  Matt Craven, will walk you how these similar roles are not so similar at all.  During this presentation, he will walk you through these differences and discuss the transformation you must take to become a successful strategic sourcer!

You will gain insight on the following:

  • Fundamental differences between a recruiting and sourcing
  • Why it is important to make this shift to have a sourcer mentality
  • What it takes to become a strategic sourcer

About the speaker:

Matt Craven is a Talent Acquisition Project Manager focusing on the recruiting strategies at Schneider Electric. With 20 years of experience in talent acquisition in various industries including healthcare, financial services, energy, and technology. He drives results by finding the purple squirrels (not always with technology either) and gets his candidates to accept!

Matt leads various continuous improvement projects that drive talent acquisition as a “strategic partner” through research, data and building relationships. He helps shape how organizations look at recruitment functions.

Passion drives him. When he’s not out hunting for great people, Matt is spending time with the family in the Pacific Northwest, hiking, kayaking and exploring the beautiful beaches along the Oregon coast.
