Mindfulness Tools to Reduce Stress & Enhance Productivity

Presented by: Alisa Blum, MSW and Judith Sugg, MBA, Ph.D.


Difficulty managing stress impacts employee productivity.  It shows up as increased sick days, poor communication, and difficulty focusing on the task at hand.  Mindfulness tools can help reduce stressful reactions and enhance productivity.  In this interactive presentation, specific tools for mental self-care, physical letting go of tension, and emotional release from stressful interactions are taught and practiced.  Learn the research behind these tools, and, if you want, share one or more of these tools with colleagues and family.


About the Speakers:

Alisa Blum, MSW

For over 20 years, Alisa has shared with her clients an in-depth understanding of human behavior and innovative learning strategies shaped by her experiences as a trainer, psychotherapist, supervisor, training director, and consultant. Alisa has served employees across industries ranging from Fortune 500 companies including  to healthcare organizations, engineering firms, law firms, nonprofits, technology companies and community colleges. Alisa’s areas of specialty include management development, performance optimization, team building, cross-generational communications, and customer relations.  Along with Judith Sugg, she co-directs AIM for Organizational Health, providing mindfulness programs to enhance leadership capabilities, decrease stress and improve conflict resolution.


Judith Sugg, MBA; Ph.D.

Judy is an author, teacher, and consultant who helps people and organizations clarify their vision, improve their interactions, understand conflict, and thrive in their surroundings. She has managed businesses (head of subsidiary of USB), taught classes in psychology and communication for 20 years, served on boards, and coached clients for performance.  She managed the strategic planning function at a large corporation, working with teams, managers, and conflicting goals.  Yoga was a lifesaver for Judy, and she has taught classes for over 20 years, including training for yoga teachers. Judy is a psychologist, licensed as a professional counselor, and teaches psychology as an adjunct.  Judy’s focus at AIM is coaching, non-verbal skills, effective interactions, presentations, and she has specific processes she teaches for perspective taking, values clarification, developing clear outcomes and vision, and effective self-talk.   Judy has also coached for presentation excellence, meeting effectiveness, executive skills.
