Unconscious Bias and it's Impact on Workplace Excellence

Presented by: Serilda Summers-McGee

People near and far are raving about unconscious bias, but few pro-actively address how it shows up in the workplace. In our session, we will explore how unconscious bias manifests in the workplace using real life scenarios, and ways to disrupt it when we see it. Unchecked biases impact workplace excellence and can erode company culture- let’s do something about it.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to recognize unconscious bias in your workplace and how it can impact meeting your organization's ability to meet it's core values
  • Learn how to establish strategic relationships with stakeholders in  your workplace so you can influence organizational decision-making
  • Once you have built those relationships, learn how to influence and execute strategies for affecting organizational change that specifically relate to unconscious bias and it's negative impact on your organization
